Welcome To the Run N Shoot Offense

The Gun Spread formation and the Run N Shoot eBook as a whole is such a combination of effectiveness yet uniqueness that just isn’t found anywhere else. This offense took me to 30th on the Salary Cap leaderboards and allowed me to avoid falling into the “meta” offenses that plaque online Madden. This is an offense that will allow you to stay creative and energetic on the offensive side of the ball by avoiding the meta, but also allow you to put up the high point margins typically only seen by offenses such as Gun Bunch and Trips TE! Any questions regarding the offense feel free to DM me on Twitter @CivilMadden or email me @ CivilMadden@gmail.com!

With the new patch coming out just the other day, people’s blitzes are changing on a day to day basis, these three ways of picking up pressure from any gun formation in our eBook is going to be your bestfriend when dealing with unique blitzes on a game to game basis

Pick Up One: Max Protect (LB, RS Up), Pinch Line Together (LB, RS Down)

Pick Up Two: Max Protect (LB, RS Up), Pinch Line Together (LB, RS Down), ID Left of Screen DE (LB, A, Move Cursor, A)

Pick Up Three: Max Protect (LB, RS Up), Slide Line Towards RB (LB, RS Towards), ID Corner Opposite RB (LB, A, Move Cursor, A)
[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=”Circle” _builder_version=”3.10.1″]

Setup 1: Fade Y, Slant B (Look to playmaker B as he crosses field as shown in video (Flick RS Up) 00:06
This is our big play set up, look for whichever crosser the user doesn’t cover, if cover 0 look to bomb the defense over top to either fade.

Setup 2: Hitch A, Hitch Y, Slant B 03:11
This is a play we’re going to use to annoy our opponents and to beat any kind of heavy pressure, make quick reads between the hitches and make sure to lowball them if you throw them, then read the crossers over top of them.

Setup 3: Drag Y, Slant B 07:51
This play is used to attack all parts of the field, the drag underneath will force the user to choose between it and the intersecting overtop crossers, this will also force them to play hard flats or else the drag will be open late.

Setup 4: In B, Flat A, Hitch Y, Wheel RB 10:02
This is more of a gadget play, check the hitch backside then look for the wheel to split in between the hook and flat zones[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=”Corner Strike” _builder_version=”3.10.1″]

Setup 1: Fade A, Wheel RB, In Y 0:06
The wheel will be open as he turns up vs clouds and the C Route will get open for a 15+ yard gain vs anything that isn’t cloud flats. Run this in middle of field or short side

Setup 2: Streak A, Drag Y, In X 03:02
This is a more conventional weak flooding concept where we have a high low read between the C Route and the Drag, along with a backside In as a late read.
[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=”Curl Post/Smash” _builder_version=”3.10.1″]

Setup 1: Curl Post- Drag Y, In X // Switch Smash- Drag A, In B 00:17
Remember that the setups for Switch Smash are opposite of each other with the trail concept coming from opposite of the Wheel/Post combo. Look at trail concept first, then read the coverage overtop

Setup 2: Curl Post – In X, Motion Y Across, Hitch Y // Switch Smash In B, Motion A Across, Hitch A 3:12
This is going to recreate a concept similar to Gun Bunch HB Dig Out from last year, look between the Hitch and the In at the snap, then progress to the Post overtop
[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=”Run Game” _builder_version=”3.10.1″]

The inside zone from gun spread is really something that’re we’re going to want to use to keep the defense honest along with using is as a tool when defenses start to spread out with our defenders. When running this play, always keep in mind that you have 5 blockers in the box, but can always motion a slot receiver into act as a tight end or to create a trips look to help alleviate the numbers disadvantage. Setup 1: Fade B, Drag X, Motion Y Across 00:09

This play has a unique route concept that can’t really be found anywhere else, the high low between the post and drag, along with the weak flooding concept between the drag and the corner will give every defense a headache

Setup 2:  In X, Hitch Y, Motion Y Left, Fade B 02:44

This is another route concept that has a post that must be usered by the opposing player. Look for the Hitch and In route for quick underneath reads and be ready to hit the Post as it crosses and gets close to the sideline

Weak Flood-

Setup 1: Streak Y 04:55

This is one of the few quick snap setups we have in this eBook, the drag will be open late vs anything besides a hard flat, with the stock In doing a good job trailing it. The Post overtop almost always must be usered as long as you click on and agg catch it.

Look for lowball to B or a high ball in back of the endzone to X as shown in the video. This play is good from 1-10 yards away from the endzone.

Gun Trips 60 Go 04:39 In X, Smart Route X, Slant B, Hitch Route RB, Smart Route RB

This play is designed to beat cover 4 drop but can also beat other aggressive zone coverages. Look to lowball the hitch in between the zones. This play can be ran as long as the down and distance is “___ and goal”.

Singleback Spread Trap/Flanker Dig 07:18 Trap: Run Trap to dominant QB Hand // Flanker Dig: Drag A, Drag B

Use the trap to punch it in from close yardage, along with the flanker dig from 2-3 yards, focusing on the high ball to X and the trail concept on the right side for a lowball.

Pistol Trips Left Open Levels Switch 10:28 In A, In B, Out X

Look to hit the reverse Whip route as it breaks back into the middle with a lowball. This play is good from 3-5 yards.

Flanker Close Weak Flood 12:59 Fade B, Fade Y, Drag X, Motion RB Over left, RB Zig

This is an amazing 1-2 yard play which makes it perfect for 2pt conversions. A highball to A will split any coverage besides a cover 3.

With the recent Title Update nerfing contain blitzes, I’m predicting that Shed Defense is going to make a comeback, and with this lineup you’ll be ready to take it on with multiple linemen with 90+ Pass Block. We have the best Quarterback in the game in this lineup because we need to be able to not only make all the throws, but to be able to make plays when the pocket is collapsing around us, with a Quarterback like Vick and an offensive scheme like this, the defense can only hope to be able to stop us.
