Welcome To the NYG Defensive Ebook

This ebook was designed to expose you to an entire defensive playbook and offer you complete flexibility throughout the entirety of a game. We’ve got the heaters, the fronts to defend both the run and the pass, the best pass defense in the entire game – there’s just no shortage in solid formations in this defensive playbook. This is the playbook I currently use online and have had great success running it. The main appeal is the fact that this playbook is 34 based and still has Dollar (which is rare considering there is only 1 other playbook to have that. Enjoy shutting down your opponents with these plays/setups and if you have any questions whatsoever reach out to me on twitter @acemaddentips – always glad to help.

**NOTE: The following videos include blitzes/setups in PRACTICE MODE. Blitzes do not behave the same in Practice Mode – but all setups work in game (All-Madden) and will be showcased in the gameplay towards the end of the ebook.

**This Ebook has been updated on 9/19. All of the Pre-Patch material is going to remain on here, but to avoid confusion there will be a section labeled “Post-Patch” and that will be a crucial video for you guys to watch.

Play: (Any vanilla coverage but I use Tampa 2 most)

Setup: Base Align, Spread Backers, Show Blitz, Global Blitz Backers (RB/R1 and then down on the right stick), Contain, Move MLB back and deep blue, hook zone the right of screen OLB and hover[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=”Nickel 335″ _builder_version=”3.10.1″]Time Stamp 8:18

This is the formation that I find was effected most from the patch. We relied so much on that slot corner to come in via contain blitz that it was too easy. Now we have to be more creative with how many we send and how we send them.

3 Man Setup: Base Align, shift line right and crash right, shift backers right and blitz the right of screen OLB, Contain, Zone or man up the slot corner, Spy the left of screen DE, Deep Blue the MLB and user the hook

6 Man Setup (Beats blocked RB): Base Align, shift line right and crash right, shift backers right and global blitz them (R1/RB then down on right stick), Contain, Move slot corner into the line so he is on a contain, Move both off the line backers to the left like in the video, Deep Blue the MLB and user

This is somewhat advanced to do and I know that, but if you want to continue using this formation frequently I recommend practicing the setups.[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=”Dollar 326″ _builder_version=”3.10.1″]Time Stamp 10:56

Personnel: A speedy + good pass rusher at your blitzing MLB is always welcome – as he comes free often. If he gets picked up, he will be in the runningbacks face and the QB cannot step up. If he does – a good LB will be able to drive the RB into his lap and force an incompletion, bad pass, or even a sack.

Personnel: This is such an aggressive front that you honestly don’t need good block shedders. The formation alone discourages people from running the ball, and if they do – they’ll be running into 8 people consistently. Make sure your ROS OLB is fast as he’s the one who usually comes in free – the LOS OLB can also come free whenever you send the 6 man setup. Make sure your safety that’s in the box is rangey, as we usuually have him on a deep half.

This SC Lineup is extremely affordable and devotes only half your cap to the defense. We basically tank our LB’s but these 3 rookies play like absolute All-Stars. It’s necessary to have a balanced defense so we can switch between formations and have some quality at every position. The most important thing to notice is our backup safeties – Apke and Moore. These guys are absolute GOONS. They are must haves on your team especially since this game is pass heavy and you can spend a lot of time in Dollar. Sub these guys in at linebacker when you’re in Dollar. Your 3 defensive linemen can get after the QB as well as offer timely run block sheds. Your corners have enough speed to run and your safeties have good zone/speed as well. Overall – this defense will easily allow you to compete.
